This is true, but "Cap and Trade" will also reduce the amount of energy available PER PERSON to society as a whole.  Thus, as the population continues to grow, the least powerful segments of society will have less PER PERSON. . .  much less.  The more powerful segments of society will use their power to maintain their standard of living at the expense of the least powerful, THE POOR and DISADVANTAGED.

A free economy serves all ONLY in a situation a growth.  Cap and Trade will turn the economy into a fixed sum game where one can only benefit at the expense of another.

Apparently, the Rockefellers are not satisfied with the drastically restricted oil exploration competition which allows "their company" to make astounding profits, but they would like to reign in the management of the company from successfully meeting demand by replacing their reserves by diverting profits to "green energy".  Of course, this would only FURTHER increase the price of oil and the profits to Exxon Mobil.
