Actually Brian (of this forum) found Google was pretty quick to index Yahoo Lists also!

Google is tops as far as indexing blogs and forums - yes, it is virtually instantaneous. I think it is good that way, because most times if something of-the-moment occurs (important or not), blogs and discussion forums are the first to cover it in any depth. Not surprisingly, Google does not index YahooGroups in the same manner, and probably not Microsoft's various forums or groups that they own. Goolgle loves it's own Blogger; and Wordpress blogs get the same preferential treatment.

I understand what you mean about YahooGroups. I think it has been around long enough that people have learned to abuse it - and the way it is constructed, along with its features, encourages such behavior. It is rare that conversation even occurs there; mostly it's just used as a data dump for current news and trolling and mass-email propaganda.

Yes, I am disappointed that this Yuku forum does not distribute full messages, but only alerts subscribers and then only if one "subscribes" to the topic. However, we do seem to be getting a lot of views probably due to google topic searches or something. I have tested with google searches and found that posts appear there almost immediately. Amazing and scary how google monitors and indexes the net!, apparently almost in "real time."

Ya, it's me.

I'm not sure how this is different from a regular discussion forum. (I don't think it is.) The good thing about YahooGroups was that you wake up in the morning and have all the latest message right in you inbox. I find with forums, you have to put in the effort and actually go to the site regularly in order to see the latest. That takes a lot of commitment.

I'm sure you can subscribe to rss feeds, and perhaps even email alerts - but in order to find such features one has to be pretty tech savvy.

I linked some of your Illuminati stuff in the Secret Society forum.

I think this format allows for a more serious, slow motion, form of discussion, debate, and even honest exploration of issues. In the old "mailing list" format, a thoughtful post, once issued is soon gone and forgotten, usually overwhelmed by hostile, simple-minded angry responses. Whether many will be attracted to the format is another matter.

I am encouraged by the number of "views" YUKU claims for each post. Apparently, there are many "lurkers" who do not join. . . joining is not necessary if you just want to read or...

I'm not so sure that no one is reading our posts. The number of "views" claimed by Yuku is quite astounding. Unless Yuku posts false "view" information???

Maybe I should go to the "teaser" setting which would force people who "hit" from a search engine to join before they read the post that caught their search.

If these "view" statistics are correct, we might have more effective lurkers here than we did on Yahoo!

Something must be configured improperly, then. I am able to edit and delete my posts. Everyone else should be able to as well. I will attempt to correct this. I must have something configured wrong.

Just because there's presently not much discussion doesn't mean that Yuku doesn't "faciliate" discussions.

Also there's no reason why you can't do Yuku AND Yahoo.

Most trouble makers from yahoo did not migrate to yuku because they can not spam as easily on these type of forums.
Bad points about Yuku is you can't edit your last posts for typos -- so you may as well be using email. And it would be nice to be able to delete a last post if it posts all screwy looking.

Actually I kind of like the format in that it encourages more thoughtful responses as opposed to surface blasphemy and anti-blasphemy. You have a good commitment to the establishment of facts, Ernie. You will do fine if you are able to gain a respect for the interpretation of facts, given that facts tend to be few and far between or difficult to discern out of the morass of disinformation.

I look forward to Lloyd's ability to promote and reestablish a forum committed to intellectual exchange. If that is not possible can you or anyone recommend other forums or groups that are dedicated to the task of intellectual interpretations focused on revealing the inner thrust of global strategic plans.
