I have not seen an ebay item notification on my face book page yet. So it's not working for me. Of course, I'm still trying to learn the Facebook web-interface.


OK, I get it. I have to go visit your "Wall" to see the ebay-notifications. They don't automatically show up on my FB homepage.

Right, after you are my "friend", then you can click on me and, thereby, see my wall. . . well, there might be more to it also. . .

Maybe if I had an eBay account I might recieve notifications via the Facebook-notification system. I would have to test that theory to find out. Or.. Maybe I just need to install the eBay "application" in order to start actually recieving eBay-notifications from my "friends" that use that same application. That theory seems more plausible.


Ok, I went to Facebook -- clicked on "applications" then clicked on "find more" then in the "search applications" box I typed in "ebay" -- then it provided me with a list of about a hundred different ebay-applications. I would probably need to know the exact ebay-application that you are using so I can install it on my end. There might be a way of knowing which one you are using by looking at your profile. I'll try that next.


Alright, I think I figured it out. I went to your profile on Facebook. Then I clicked on "boxes." Then I clicked on Check out the new eBay Marketplace! -- Then it asked me to allow the application. After allowing the application then it prompted me to create an eBay account (or link to an existing one.) since I don't have an eBay account, I suspect that once I create an eBay account perhaps *then* I would start recieving notifications -- after linking that account to the eBay-Marketplace application.


Now, after creating an ebay account, I have successfully linked Facebook to the eBay Marketplace application. The eBay Marketplace application now shows up in my list of installed applications. Basically, I just re-followed the steps above and the final step was just to log-on to ebay with the username and password. The next time you post something on eBay -- I should see the notification in my notifications-tray.
