Posts: 603 Mar 16 09 10:56 PM	Tags : None Remove this ad It suddenly occured to me that perhaps, not everyone, realizes why "Ole Dude's" examples of manipulation from the world of the "Corporate Organization" as experience by him are not necessarily relevant to analyzing whole societies. Corporations, or any Business Organization really, is EXPLICITLY a HEIRARCHY, in effect NECESSARILY a "MASTER CONSPIRACY" if its ruler(s) don't choose make make their agenda explicit. So, anytime a Business Heirarchy choses to proceed with a hidden agenda instead of straight-up "command and control", no doubt the tactics "Ole Dude" describes would be likely to be in use. However, in a whole society, such a heirarchy does not necessarily exist. Sure, there are always factions trying to become a MASTER CONSPIRACY, but before they are successful, they are not in a position to use MASTER CONSPIRACY tactics. There is truth to what you say, but my perceptions were not limited to the notion of a single heirarchy, or even to a single organization in a formal sense. I saw the workings of what appeared to be a loose confederation of powerful "business" organizations working in concert to achieve political objectives. For example, I was regularly routed a blurb from the Business Roundtable which kept me and others informed with 2 or 3 line synopses of recent actions in the labor relations arena, for example, including how to respond to similar situations. I was indoctrinated on the power of the pseudo-cartel with statistics showing the large percentage (I seem to recall a figure of about 85%) of the economy directly or indirectly (dependent suppliers and customers included) controlled by the member corporations as a group. I was also familiar with the use of management consulting groups (such as Booz Allen, Arthur D. Little, and McKinsey) which blurred the distinction between the various companies' strategic plans. We worked under the tutelege of McKinsey in developing strategic plans for what WECO was to become. The regulatory process was informally merged with the company it was supposed to be regulating by regular rotation of employees. I had a former FCC employee working for me for a time. One of my fourth level managers was selected to participate in the Rhodes Scholarship program. These are just examples of what comes immediately to mind. It was a far cry from free enterprise. In fact I think I can say with a high degree of certainty that the greatest collective fear of the management of the company was being thrown to the "wolves" of the free enterprise system. So how did the company relate to the society as a whole? In short, it was a paternalistic relationship. They contributed to both political parties. Efforts to relieve natural disasters took precedence over other company needs. And of course the NSA and AT&T have been described as almost one and the same. It is not all bad or good. But it is all directed toward attaining a collective political power able to dominate the earth with no effective competition and no oversight.

To the best of my knowledge, Business Roundtables is/was a hobby horse of David Rockefeller and, therefore, most likely consisted of the major Corporations in which the Rockefellers had controlling or major interests. This is based on generally reading, but not my own detailed research. Such an organization would be the Rockefellers ATTEMPT to form a "Master Conspiracy" of major Corporations. Further, THEY HAD MUCH success, particularly in controlling the mass media, which "W" and his NeoCons quite rapidly discovered! The NSA has been closely linked to both AT&T and British Inteligence. There is no doubt that AT&T at least was more closely associated with the Anglo faction than the Rockefeller faction. I have little doubt that the Rockefellers attempted to promote their power relative to the Anglo faction, however, the evidence suggests infighting at the top rather than independent opposing forces. The NBR, like Bilderberg suggests that the factions you have identified have been working together rather closely at least for the past 50 years.

Sounds like the old Morgan crowd finally fell under the Rockefeller assault. An alternative view would be the need or desire to replicate the "hidden" style of monopoly that Rockefeller resorted to after Standard Oil was broken up as the result of anti-trust action. In that case both anti trust actions could be seen as actions designed to more effectively hide the elite from an increasingly educated and aware public view. As a side note it should not be ignored the usefulness to upper management or a ruling elite to have competing entities under their control for simple motivation and exception management (Hegelian) purposes. Even the ruling elite know how much monopoly tends to promote unproductive corruption. Please note the distinction from free enterprise which depends on an objective marketplace instead of the slavery mindset of pleasing the master. re: a related discussion: For perception management purposes it looks a lot better that 40% of Iran's oil was given to a bunch of different American oil companies than that it was all given to Rockefeller, even though Rockefeller probably still controlled all or most of the companies.

Except that Rockefeller had practically NO national political power when he was "broken-up" by the Anglophile (Teddy Roosevelt) "PROGRESSIVES". . . it was only AFTER THAT that Rockefeller formed the General Education Board and, then, a multitude of "philanthropic" fronts to gain the political patronage he needed to defend himself against his Anlgophile/Morgan enemies in America and World-wide. Speculating independent of historical data is not productive.
